As the Sun moves into Cancer this month, it’s not coming alone. Jupiter recently made the same move – from Gemini, where it struggles to express its full potential, into Cancer, where it’s exalted. This shift isn’t just symbolic; it brings a deeper energetic reset. Cancer is a sign that nourishes, protects, and seeks to create emotional safety. Jupiter here expands all of that.
To make this moment even more impactful, Venus is also in her home sign of Taurus. This is the first time since September 2019 that both benefics are in such strong positions at the start of a new season. The energetic support this offers is meaningful—there’s real potential here for healing, growth, and reconnection with what brings comfort and beauty.
Lunar Powers Activate
The Cancer New Moon on June 25th at 6:32 a.m. EDT is one of the most potent lunations of the year. With the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter all together in Cancer, the themes of renewal, care, and emotional anchoring are amplified.
This lunation forms a sextile to Mars in Virgo, helping us apply our intentions practically and take grounded, purposeful action. But there’s complexity too—the Cancer planets square the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Aries and quincunx Pluto in Aquarius. These aspects nudge us to reconcile dreams with reality and navigate shifting power dynamics with clarity and care.
With Venus ruling the chart from Taurus, this New Moon invites us to slow down, get quiet, and return to what feels real. It’s a reminder that pleasure and peace are not passive—they’re cultivated. Just don’t get too comfortable. This is a time to root down while reaching up.
Standing at a Threshold
The Solstice chart underscores this theme of transition. Eight out of ten planets are sitting at either 29° or early degrees—classic indicators of beginnings and endings. Even the Moon is at 0° Taurus, its sign of exaltation, anchoring this sense of a new cycle taking shape.
We’re standing at a threshold. Not quite where we were. Not yet where we’re going. It’s a liminal moment that invites presence and adaptability. Pay attention to what’s shifting—within and around you. This is where the future begins to speak up.
Excess Pressure & the Need to Make Adjustments
This season also features a high-pressure Yod, or “finger of God,” with Mars in Virgo taking the brunt of the tension. Pluto in Aquarius sextiles the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Aries, and both form quincunxes to Mars.
This is the cosmos pointing its finger directly at how we act, respond, and manage our energy. Mars in Virgo wants to fix, refine, and improve—but under this kind of stress, it can slip into anxiety, over-functioning, or burnout.
This is your cosmic nudge to reassess: Where are you spending too much effort? What needs to shift to make your actions more aligned with your priorities? Real adjustments now can create stability later.
A Glimpse of the Future: Uranus in Gemini
From July 8th to November 8th, Uranus steps into Gemini for the first time since the 1940s. It’s just a preview—Uranus won’t fully settle into the sign until April 2026—but it’s enough to offer insight into the next chapter.
While in Taurus, Uranus disrupted our relationship with the physical world—land, money, food systems, and how we define security. As it edges into Gemini, the focus pivots to ideas, language, tech, and communication.
We’re stepping into a new era of autonomy—not just in how we live, but in how we think. This is a mental revolution in the making. Stay curious. Stay flexible.
Charting New Territory: Neptune in Aries Begins
Meanwhile, Neptune has entered Aries for the first time in over 160 years. This marks the end of its long journey through Pisces, where the lines between dream and reality often blurred.
In Aries, Neptune asks new questions: What does it mean to act on your vision? To embody your ideals? It adds fire to our dreams and calls us into motion—even if the path ahead is still a little foggy.
With Saturn also in Aries, there’s some structure to hold this new energy. But it will take time to understand where it’s all going. This is just the beginning.
Tension, Reversal & the Unfolding Story
Watch the skies around July 19th–21st. Mars conjoins the South Node in Virgo, bringing a moment of release. Venus squares both Mars and the Nodes from Gemini, stirring up questions around values, communication, and relationship dynamics.
Uranus trines Pluto—pushing deep change forward—while four outer planets are retrograde, urging reflection over reaction. By July 21st, the Moon joins Venus in Gemini, and we may feel a shift. Conversations soften. Something turns. New perspectives begin to take hold.
We may not know what’s coming next—but we can sense that it’s already in motion.
Looking Ahead
This season opens a rare window. With both benefics strong, a powerfully supportive lunation, and key planets sitting on the edge of big changes, the sky is full of momentum—even if it doesn’t all happen at once.
Uranus and Neptune are whispering about the future. The Yod configuration is asking for adjustments now. And the degrees clustered around the edges of signs are a reminder: something is beginning. Or ending. Or both.
